Grape creme fraiche scones! Living somewhat close to Niagara wine region, we see a lot of gorgeous grape varieties at the farmers’ markets this time of year. I look for seedless Concord-style grapes (like Coronation or Valiant), which are thin-skinned, small, and both sweet and tart. They are delicious for snacking or in jams, but also act similar to blueberries in baking (except with even more flavorful, IMO 😬).

If you have access to some in your area, try swapping them into your favorite blueberry muffin or scone and see what you think!

These are the creme fraiche scones from my newsletter, subbing the seeds of half a vanilla bean for the cardamom. They were assembled like the scones in my book with 170g grapes in place of the raspberries and white chocolate.
